Stagestruck Launches Business Breakfasts
The Business Breakfast Report
Everyone knows times are hard. But how much does that change the outlook for corporate events? That was the single item on the agenda at the first of a series of occasional business breakfasts hosted by Stagestruck at the Hospital Club. Attended by events teams from leading UK blue chip companies, the informal session covered a wide range of factors that are likely to affect the future of event production, including:
- The need for more rigorous internal analysis of events
- The importance of brand strategy being founded on strong underlying values
- The role of regulation, and the pace of change
- The likelihood of a shift from live to virtual events
Highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Patrick Harris – former Director of Creaticity at the Orange Group.
With the current economic climate raising more questions that it answers, it was generally agreed that this kind of debate can play a genuinely positive role in the industry, and plans are already in place to stage a second complimentary Business Breakfast in early Autumn 2009.
